Hi all.
Is it the same to use an EIDE SLAVE HDD as system disk instead of a EIDE
PRIMARY HDD ?
If possible which is the diffrence between SLAVE and PRIMARY ?

Thanks

Master/Slave do not have to do anything with Primary and Secondary
partitions. The former are different status that are used by the IDE
controller on the mainboard to access the HDD. The status of a
partition is used by the OS but not by the hardware. So a Slave HDD
can be used for to boot an OS as well as a Master disk can.

Provided you can set your BIOS to boot from that disk, you can use
either. Or can have initial boot on the master (not primary - the
primary and secondary channels each support a master and a slave) and
have it load windows from the other by appropriate setting in boot.ini
