I may have made a mistake buying an ECS 848P-A mobo just because it was
on sale at Frys. The manual says it supports dual floppys, the BIOS
says otherwise.

I have sent several support queries via thier web site but no response.
Anyone have a magic trick to wake up thier support?

In what way does BIOS say otherwise? Why do you want dual floppy?
Mike.

I have noticed a few Mainboards that do not support A and B floppies.
Most will. This one does not. Unless the price was incredibly low
I would us an 865PE or 875P chipset board. The 875 being the most
mature. I find a lot of uses for duel floppies on a daily basis.
Others
may not. I also have CDRW and a Flash memory drive. I just use
the most convenient tool for me.

Mike.

The book shows a floppy A line and a floppy B line. The B line is
missing on the screens, and while I had both drives connected with a
dual cable, neither worked. With only one floppy connected on a single
cable (which was included with the mobo), it works.

I occasionally need to duplicate floppies which is easiest with 2.
