There are some around as Abilion, Planarchy etc

Do they usually produce HTML or other languages that make demands om the
w.hotell?

Are the blogs made by such software reachable via browser log-in or is the
blog reached (with text inputs) via an /the application it self?

I'm not sure you're looking for this, but give simplephpblog a try. You can
find it on simplephpblog.com

Simple php blog sounds as it is in php wich I suppose means that the web
hotell must support php...

It must be possible to make a blog (almost?) completly in html, ...or?

Doesn't Google support a blog maker?

There are lot's of sites where blogs can be created. Don't know if Google
have one too...

In my oppinion it's a more stable solution to own your web-space. A simple
structure improve the longevity also if one doesn't develop the knowledge in
a sertain application and /or script-language.

Anyone against?

Most sites support either php or ASP, or your choice of one. And
browsers support javascript. A blog could probably be done completely
in html - and one could walk from Los Angeles to New York - but ...

I may understand your point, but is it nesessary to make a blog that
advanced that php /asp are needed?

Put another way... Which parts in a "normal" blog demands more advanced
scripts?
Must a HTML blog look like shit and /or work like shit?

It's difficult to maintain a database in pure html. How are you going
to store anything? Or are you going to write pages and pages of just
html?

No, but it'll have to work overtime to be a good page editor and
saver. And you'll have to work double overtime to maintain the blog.
If you're really that masochistic I have easier ways for you to
experience that much pain.
