I've used Easy Cleaner on a Windows 98 machine for a long time. Now I've
upgraded to XP. Is it advisable to use it on this OS? Ditto for Microsoft's
RegClean. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

You should only use tools specifically designed for Windows XP.
Windows XP and Windows 98 are radically different operating system and the
use of Windows 98 tools on a Windows XP machine may lead to a non
operational state.

The new Easy Cleaner Beta works fine the older one will
delete help and support in the registry. Reg Clean works
fine. I would make sure you have the XP edition.

I use both and they work fine with my XP pro machine. With Easy Cleaner,
type the word help in the skip box... this will bypass the problem with
EasyCleaner deleting your Help and Support files. BCA
