Hi group,

Does anyone know some function to create EAN-13 codebars on Access 2000?
I'm looking for a free solution.

What are you looking for? An implementation of the check digit calculation
algorithm, or to print the actual barcode so it can be read from a scanner?

Locate an font for that barcode. Place the font file on all the
systems which will be printing bar codes. On the report(s) change the
font on a field to use the bar code font. Some bar codes like having
*s before and after while others like check digits.

Well, OK, I admit. This is not a free solution, but close :) And
also, I've never seen an EAN-13 generator for free, so chances are you
won't find one, either.

We offer BarCodeWiz ActiveX, which is a control (plug-in) that allows
you to create many types of barcodes, including EAN-13. The cost is
only $95 for a single user license. There is a free demo, which
includes several examples of use in Access 2000 (on reports and
directly on a form).
