In my system event viewer and whenever I run a system checkup on my HP laptop
I always get a message that says "The following boot-start or system-start
driver(s) failed to load:eabfltr" How do I fix this?

I was more than a little surprised to hear the following from "foshopo"

You could start by looking at this registry key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\eabfltr

In the right pane should be information relating to the file being searched
for eg 'ImagePath'.

I looked in the registry key and this is what I see...
\??\C:WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\EABFLTR.SYS

Do I delete this folder in regedit?

Reliable sources are claiming that "foshopo"

Any other information in that same right pane in Regedit, such as a
'Description' key or a 'DisplayName' key. If so, it would give you a big
clue as to which program it's connected with.

If not, then you can also have a look at the file in

C:WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\

Right-click it, look at its properties. Does it give any clues as to which
program it's connected with?

If you still don't recognize it then yes, you could try deleting that folder
in regedit. BUT first right-click the 'eabfltr' folder and choose the
'export' option and export it as a .reg file. If you discover later that a
program stops working, then you could click on the .reg file to restore it.

If you're not that familiar with the registry, then setting a System Restore
point before any of the above is probably a good idea too.
