Right now I can't send email or receive email because I can't set Microsoft Outlook Express 6

Review the material that your ISP supplied when you subscribed to their
service; they should provide that information with each new account.
Check their WEBsite HELP, or give support a call.

Most likely they offer a POP3 server for incoming mail. The SMTP entry is
for your OUTgoing mail. HTTP is for WEBsites, and likely there's nothing
for you to configure for that.

Best guess is it's "pop3" and the server name is mail.sbcglobal.net. I can
tell you that "mail.sbcglobal.net" exists simply by pinging it from the DOS
prompt. Outgoing is probably "smtp.sbcglobal.net".

Any ISP you are likely to use will be using SMTP (Simple mail transfer
protocol) for outgoing mail; and POP3 ('Post Office' Protocol for
incoming, in which they hold the mail at their centre until you ask for
it. Only business networks, using Outlook for e-mail would be using
IMAP

The ISP should tell you the server names - usually pop.ispname.com or
pop.ispname.net for POP and similarly for the smtp server
