e-mail problem

When I use my Yahoo e-mail, the characters I type don't
appear immediately; it takes about 30 seconds for the text
to appear after I finish typing; sometimes longer. The
text location cursor moves very slowly and no longer
responds instantly. This phenomenon occured suddenly and
has never happened before. Could it be an incorrect
browser setting? I'm using Explorer 6.0. Thanks for any
help anyone can offer!
