I am trying to use the Outlook program instead of OE but I
am not receiving any of my e-mails. I can send from this
program & the other parties are receiving them and a copy
of them are showing up in my sent box, but I cannot get
any e-mails in. I have tried not opening OE, even to the
point of removing my mail address from OE hoping that
would solve the problem but it doesn't. When I run the
test to see if everything is ok - Outlook says that
everything is configured correctly. I am able
(thankfully) to still get my e-mail through my server
account (adelphia). Does any one have any other
suggestions?

What happens when you try? How are your mail account(s) set up? Are they
POP3 accounts? Do you get any error messages? If so, what are they (exact
text please)?

My POP3 account is set up correctly & so is my STMP. I
get no messages indicating that I can't receive e-mail. I
just don't get any in Outlook. I can send thru Outlook.
I know it's received because I get replies via my server
account. I know it is sent also because a copy is stored
in the "Sent" file. My account is set up as
mail.adelphia.net in both POP3 & STMP. Am I giving you
the answers you are looking for? Is there any other info
I can locate that might assist? Thank you for your
assistance. I really appreciate it.

The only other thing I can think of is that your messages are coming in but
they're being diverted to another folder, or that you have a filter set on
your Inbox that's hiding the messages. Check your view settings and the
Rules Wizard, and also do an Advanced Find to see if you can find the
missing messages in other folders.

If that doesn't work, you might want to try turning on diagnostic logging of
your e-mail transports -- then you can post the log to this group and see if
someone else can help you hone in on the problem. Instructions for doing so
can be founda at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=300479. You'll probably
want to start a new thread for that since this one may be overlooked by
other posters. Good luck.
