e-mail is slow now there are little white envelopes that keep going across

My e-mail was fine before. Now every time I try to
receive messages all of it goes through my task bar. With
hundreds of tiny little white envelopes. It now takes
forever to download my e-mail. Can anyone please help!!!

Do you mean you have a moving icon that traverses your Task Bar? No
Microsoft mail client does that. What are you using?
With

Do you mean that your task bar becomes full of hundreds of window
placeholders? What happens when you try to open any of them?
It now takes
forever to download my e-mail. Can anyone please help!!!

Well, you could erase your disk and reinstall everything, but supply more
information and maybe that won't need to happen.
