e-mail doesn't work now!

I just downloaded the latest sp2 update. NOW- when I try to click on any
link/address in hotmail/internet explorer, it doesn't work. Goes NOWHERE.
Also cannot download any attachments. It says there was no virus found, but
when I tell it to download, NOTHING happens!! Please help me someone!

I suggest you reinstall windows xp.That is a system erro.By the way ,if you
use computer for home ,just install sp1.I think sp2 is enough for u !
 
ok, so you are saying, I do not need sp2, since I am using for home use? I
will soon be using it for a very small home based business, but it will not
be a business where money is exchanged.

I forgot.XP came with both my lap top, and my desktop. this problem began
with sp2 UPDATE. it was ok after the sp2 was done, but when the thing came up
and said an new update of some kind was ready for sp2, and we let it load,
and the features i mentioned stopped working. when i put the cursor on a
link, down @ the bottom of the screen, where it says 'done' or opening a
window to -----it says java something, then opening window to---but it never
goes anywhere. When I'm just browsing, the links work. when i'm in my free
hotmail account, they do not. Then there's also the attachment problem in
hotmail. any clearer? or did i just confuse everyone?I'm sorry! when the
puter works correctly, i can use it like a house on fire. but when it
doesn't, I AM LOST! I have looked everywhere i can in microsoft, newsgroups,
micro chats on xp,etc., and can't find my answer.
