I tried to back up files today and got the message E:\is not accessible.
Incorrect Function. I don't know what I should do next. I backed up files
many times in the past with no problem.

Could you give us a hint and tell us what drive E: is? CD? CD-RW? Hard
drive? USB External Drive? Pen drive?

E: is my CD DVD drive.

Will your CD drive play music CD's properly? If you put an old data CD
in the drive, can you open a window and navigate through the folders?

And you are using what medium.........CD-R...CD-RW....DVD-R...DVD-RW
???????????
The XP home build in Backup program will usually not write to a CD...and XP
will definitly not write to a DVD without a seperate program installed.
It will write to a UDF Formatted CD-RW...all other backups would be written
to the HD and from there you can burn them to a CD-R/CD-RW and if you have
the software.DVD's
What have you used in the past??
