Is it possible to download Dynamic Update to a file and use it later when upgrading from W98 to XP. Normally, you daownload Dynamic Update and then continue upgrading. I need to download it first, remove the modem and reinstall modem after upgrading

Hi Hal,

This should help:

List of Fixes That Are Included in the Windows XP Dynamic Update 1.2 Package
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314582

It includes a link to a stand-alone download version of the dynamic update
for corporate environments, should work for you as well.

Hi Rick, I read the article 314582. It says you can do it for corporate enviroment. It doesn't say how to do it. I want to download Dynamic Update, shut down PC, remove my Modem (recommended by USR), reboot PC and install XP upgrade.
