Im in the process of doing a fresh install of XP Pro (OEM
version). I noticed that the OEM version does not do a
dynamic update. Is it possible to force an update? The
install hangs when the device drivers are loaded - think
may need newer drivers and hence the interest in the
dynamic update. Thx for the help!

Dynamic Update is only available if Setup is initiated by Winnt32.exe.

When installing Windows XP,
physically disconnect all peripheral hardware devices from your PC,
except your monitor, mouse and keyboard.
