The IP address is lost and renewd every 12 seconds on win xp

I'm afraid you will have to supply a lot more information about your
network setup and how you connect to the Internet (method and ISP) if
you want to get an answer. Go here to get help in making a good post:

Then do come back and repost with all necessary details.

So far, all we know is that you have 6 pc's connected to some router
and one computer is having problems with getting and keeping an IP
address. You're still not giving us much to work with. Most people
aren't willing to exchange numerous posts with you trying to pull out
the necessary information to help you troubleshoot. How about giving
all of us who want to help you a hand by providing a good description
of all your computers, your network, and your setup? Here are some of
the things people who can't see your computers need to know in order to
narrow down the troubleshooting:

1. Is DHCP used? If so, what device provides this? The router?
2. What is the Internet access - cable, dsl, dialup, etc.? Is there
anything exotic about the network setup?
3. What operating systems are the computers running?
4. Are they in a workgroup or a domain?
5. What antivirus and firewall programs are in place?
6. Did the troubled computer ever work properly? If yes, what changed?
7. Do all the computers have identical hardware? If not, what is
different about the one that doesn't work?
8. Router brand?
9. Ethernet, wireless, combination of both?

And anything else you might think of that will help others help you.
