Dynamic Address - Get around?

Thanks in advance.

I recall reading about a freeware program that has the ability to get around
an ever changing IP address, thus allowing one to host a web page on your
computer. Maybe I'm not making myself clear. I have a dynamic address as
supplied by my IP. How can I host a page on my local machine. I am running
XP Pro.

Again thanks,

Dave H.

http://www.dyndns.com/ will fit the bill as well.

This gives me a chance to rave about dyndns! :) I have been using their
services since 1999, First their dynamic DNS services. Later also their
mail MX services (paid), custom DNS (paid) and domain registration/hosting
(paid). There are also third party scripts and applications for Windows,
Mac and Linux that automates the DNS updates. However, what really makes
these folks stand out is service and uptime. In this respect they have
been perfect. Email as always answered immediately, and information on
their site is always fresh. Check 'em out!
