Can some-one tell me,please, the difference between a DVD-RAM disk and the
various DVD-R/RW,DVD+R/RW,etc?

Basically, the difference for the formats is the material
used in the disc that is burned and the laser used to burn
these materials. These 5 different format discs are
actually physically different.

That being the case, why should I buy a 4.7GB DVD-RAM disk at around
$20.00(Aus) when I can buy a 4.7GB DVD-RW at around $7.00?

What you buy depends on what formats your DVD writer can
write and what can be read by devices you plan to use the
discs on. For example, maybe your TV DVD player can play
DVD-RAM discs, but not DVD-RW or DVD+RW. It depends on
your personal circumstances.

You are silly. IMO, DVD-RAM is sying. Get a dial modw DVD writer (-
and +), and you will be nealry future proof.
