Hi when i try to burn a image file using my burning software, i get a error
message as soon as i start writing saying: Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible
Format,

It was fine last week using the same media?

Anyone?

Thanks

Quick edit, The media i used last week was Phillips DVD-R 1-8 x speed

Now im using Phillips DVD-R 1-16 x speed

Will this cause a difference?

Thanks

It can--Check the Phillips website to see if there is a firmware update for
your burner to allow the use of newer media.

It should make no difference

May be copyright protection issue, in that case it's just giving you
generic message

Try DVD43free

When you change to newer media on older drives there is often an issue.
It is usually resolvable with flashing the firmware of the drive.

Considering my oldest DVD burner "an LG" is nearly 3 year
old this year and cost a fortune back then, it has used near a doze
or so different brands and types of media and all have worked fin
but for the odd source disk that is impossible to copy

My Sony has played up a few times, the Pioneer has given good service
but all have never not taken to not burning due to the media. ?

I have to say again it's a good chance you have some other problem o
a dodgy brand of burner

They do die eventually, all do

Buy a new Plextor, saw some great deals on them for $60 yesterday
