Can i copy from a dvd to the computer using xp? also, ive tried
uploading it from the dvd-rom to streamload but cant seen to get the
job done. can anyone help me. Ill start from the basics. I have the dvd
burned and in disc form. I want to post it up on the web so i dont have
to keep burning them and mailing them. If anyone can help me put it on
my computer then figure out how to hose it, i would greatly appreciate

Ok, if you want to copy the movies and such to your computer, you'll need a
few things:

-Windows Media Player or anything that can play and store movies, and
-a DVD-ROM Drive. (I think its a DVD-RW drive, someone correct me if im wrong)

Don't have the above, can't download movies. Oh, and CD-ROM or any
subdivisions of it won't work. Those are for music.

You need a program that can rip the DVD to a file format like .AVI or .MPEG.
Here's an example of such an application
http://www.shareup.com/super-dvd-ripper.html However there are many others.

Another option would be to create an ISO file from the DVD and up it. You
need software that will create an ISO from DVD. Alcohol 120% or CloneDVD can
easily do that. Once downloaded they would need to either burn it to DVD or
use a Virtual DVD drive to watch it.

To stream it you will also need the appropriate software.

How do you want to "post to the web"...A DVD rom will read the disk,xp will
show contents once installed, wmp will not play dvd w/o an encoder.
