DVD Rewriter

When I place a recordable dvd into my NEC 1300 it is not recognised as
rewritable.Everything I try to copy a file the message received is "Problem
Copying" - "Windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this file. What
do you want Windows to do?"

Please help!!

Are you using the writing software that came with the drive or just using
XP's software?

I would use third party software.

You can find free software by using Google. Enter a term such as free + dvd
+ burning + software.

How are you trying to write to the DVD? XP has no ability to write to
DVD disks. For that you'll need 3rd party software. If you are using
3rd party software what is it?
