My computer won't allow me to change the region setting for my DVD player. Error message: Ensure that drive contains region 2 media (which it does) and that you have administration privilege.

How many times have you changed it before. You are normally allowed only 5
changes before you're locked on the last region you set it to.

i have 1 change left (computer tells me so when i try to change). but i don't understand the "admisnitration privilege issue". it is my computer and i am the only one using it.

Probably because what it really means is that you are on that last change...
ie you've already done it.
In my other desktop I have two DVD ROM drives..... one set for Region 1 and
the other for Region 2.
Google for DVD Region Free... it's software that will let you play whatever
region you want.
