DVD player

confused in NC

Hi-

My DVD playewr does not what to work. My drive will play
cds but will not play the dvds...it just does error and
then will not shut down. Then asks if I want to send an
error report. I am running them on the players that came
with Xp...cyberlink Power DVD and the Dell one. Still it
wont play...just sounds like it is loading and then the
program and nothing else freezes.

Help!!!

Are you using an older PowerDVD version, on a newer hyperthreading
motherboard?

How would I know this? My copy of PowerDVD SE was purchased on 17 December
2003. My motherboard has an "ASUS P4S-X ACPI BIOS Rev 1001 17 Jul 03".
