DVD Drive reads DVDs but not CDs

Hi
My DVD drive has stopped reading CDs, can anyone help with a possible cause
and a solution?

Could be the CD laser has gone out. Have you run a cleaning disk? Try
it in another computer to see if it works there and try a different one
in your system.

Thanks for the help, I've cleaned the lens without success. I have tried
uninstalling the drive and reinstalling it again also without success other
than I can get the DVD to work but not the CD. I have also tried installing
an updated driver but am advised that I have the most up to date.
I guess that the drive may have failed-Unless you have some more ideas?

The next step would be to install it in another computer to see if it
works. If not then yes a replacement is in order.
