I have an emachines desktop PC in the office and there are a DVD/CDRW Combo
(COMBO IDE4816CO) inside. For some reason I restore my computer system
including all of program by using restore CD comes with this PC made by
emachines. But after I restored my computer, the DVD/CDRW Combo can’t read
anything form any CD besides the restore CD and can’t write any data to blank
CD/RW.

I check it in device manager. It looks like good and XP can organize it. I
think this DVD/CDRW Combo is still good, because I restore my computer system
for a several times to try to save this problem, and it always can read the
restore CD. But I don’t know why it can’t read and write data form / to CD
after the computer system restored.

I already try every method I know, but still can’t let it work. Does anybody
can help me to save this problem?

Uninstall the driver, and then click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall or upgrade the driver.

Start/Run, type DEVMGMT.MSC
On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooting wizard.

Thank you for your kindly to answer my question.
But I can't understand your mean exactly for "uninstall the driver".
Does it means disconnect the DVD/CDRW Combo from the system or just remove
it form the device manager?

highlight the device in dev mgr, and use action menu, 'uninstall', restart windows.

but this method I already try serveral times before and can't let combo work.
anyway, I already try this method once again, still can't work.

I already make sure enable cd recording on my combo is checked and also run
autofix.exe (autoplay-repair-wizard) but still can save this problem.

following is the log after I run autofix.exe
