How can I tell which CD rom is set for master and which one is set for slave
I had some trouble with my DVD/CD burning and I was told to make sure that
the DVD/CD burner is set to master.

I believe that by default the master drive will be listed first (with the
lower alphabetical name of D: in MOST cases) unless you've changed the drive
letters associated with it through the computer management console and you
probably haven't if you're posting this question. In short, without tearing
your PC apart and checking, I'm almost certain you'll find it's the first
drive listed.
