Hi all!

Can anyone help with this problem? Cant find a solutions anywhere! When
sending (& receiving email), the recipient gets multiple copies of the same
email (i.e. I send 1 email, and they receive up to 6 of the same email!)
Also, I get the same when receiving email. One is sent to me, but I receive
up to six duplicates of the same email.

Also, whilst on the subject of email, some of my mail goes straight to
deleted items even though they are not on any list to do this!

Any help would be appreciated!

Kind regards
Chris

Maybe there's a rule set up to copy the email or something? From the inbox
selecte Tools - Rules and alerts or Rules Wizard depending on the version.
Check if there is a rule set up there to duplicate emails.
Another place to look is the junk mail settings under tools options
Hope this is of help

The most common cause of this seems to be anti-virus or anti-spam software
that scans your incoming and outgoing mail. If you have any, turn off the
mail scanning (if you have Norton, you may need to uninstall it and then
reinstall without scanning options to accomplish this).

Wouldn't turning off your antivirus software put you in jeopardy of
receiving a virus/worm through your email?

Most anti-virus software has a "real-time" or "on-access" component that
blocks the execution of programs containing viruses, so blocking messages
containing viruses isn't necessary (though it's useful on a mail *server*,
to keep unprotected computers from receiving the viruses).
