Hi!

I have the question on user account setting. At first my PC was set by SE
department with my name, Tiger from Japan. After I received it in US I have
add this PC into company network in the same name. By doing this the user
account is showing Tiger with company domain. But when we check on the
document and setting folder, the name of folder set from Japan show Tiger but
the same that I set in company network show Tiger.domain. How can I change
the folder name of company net work from Tiger.domain to be Tiger?

Thanks!

Tiger

Assuming what you mean is:

Previously your user data was stored under :
C:\Documents and Settings\Tiger

Now your user data is being stored under :
C:\Documents and Settings\Tiger.domain

Log on as some administrative user other than the "Tiger" user.
You can change where the profile points, making sure that either the user in
question is an administrator or a member of some group that has full access
to the folder/files in question. Look for the appropriate paths in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

By selecting each SID listed there and looking at the "ProfileImagePath" on
the right side for the one pointing to "Tiger.domain" and tell it to point
to the "Tiger" directory you want it to use. AGAIN - that domain user has
to have FULL RIGHTS to every folder/file in that new directory or this will
fail and you may end up with a "Tiger.0000" directory or something similar.

Hi Shenan,

Thank you for your help. Actually right now I still have both profile on
this PC and the main profile I'm using is Tiger.domain which create some
trouble when I share with domain net work I have. Now I would like to get rid
of the current tiger profile and then changing tiger.domain profile to be
tiger profile. Will this be possible?

Thanks again

Tiger
