Duplicate restored word templates

We were having a problem with french spell checking on
some templates. In an effort to fix this we restored
templates from an arcserve backup.
When we look at the template directory there is one copy
of each templates... as expected. However when we open
word and try to open a new document using the template...
there are 20 entries for each template. Right click on one
and deleteing deletes all instances.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I'm afraid I don't understand where you're seeing these
multiple template entries? And wich version of Word is this?

As to the spelling: in the "Tips" section of my website
you'll find an article about controlling language formatting
in Word. Read through that and see if it helps clears the
question up; if it doesn't, at least we'll have common ground
to extend the discussion :-)
