I am working on a network with a blend of 2 98 machines
and 2 XP machines. One machine is now giving an error at
bootup indicating that a duplicate name exist on the
network which I have verified not to be true. Each
machine on the network has a unique name. Currently none
of the other machines on the network can see the machine
with the duplicate name error. There was quite a bit of
Spyware which has all been successfuly removed with Ad-
Aware Plus. I'm sure that the Spyware had something to do
with this duplicate name issue but that is just my guess.
What to do about a duplicate name error when you only have
unique names?
