Duplicate Mails

Hi,

We are sending mass mails to the customers using MS Exchange. The mailing

process is triggered from our application. The users have complainted that
they

receive duplicate mails. How can i overcome this issue.

I have browsed thru and most of them say its due to the mail server

synchronization problem.

What are the possible reasons for this problem? Is there any solution for
this??

Does Microsoft has any patch on Exchange to prevent this?

What "mail server synchronization problem" are you referring to?

Hi,

The synchronization problem is like this. In SMTP, the recevier mailer
accepts the mail, but the sender mailer is not sure if the mail has been
delivered. In this scenario, if the smtp conversation is broken, then sender
mailer tries to resend the mail. Hence the user receives duplicate mails.
