Duplicate inbound e-mail

I am most of my inbound e-mails are duplicating
themselves I have checked my pC for virus and seems to be
ok. Any advice welcome

Often a result of a server timeout value set too low.
 
So is this a client timeout issue where the setting is on the PC, or is it a
server setting?

It's a client-side setting on the Advanced tab of your account properties
pages. It can also be the result of a too-short send/receive interval.
