Duplicate Folders Listed when only 1?

Using Outlook 2003 on WinXP and in Outlook under the folder listing it shows
the Folder listed twice. It is the same PST file but it shows the folder
listed twice with all sub-folders such as INBOX, Sent Items, Junk Email also
listed. Just another pointer to the same folder since the contents are
always identical.

Right click on both of them and the option to delete is not available. How
can I get rid of this 2nd listing of the folder?

I have tried all that but I do not have 2 PST files that are showing up.
What I have is one good PST file which was newly created but it shows up
twice in the Folder Listing. If I rename it and restart Outlook a new PST
file is created but the new one is then listed twice.

You corrupted your profile, most likely by migrating data incorrectly.
Create a new profile from scratch and make sure you use the correct method
for designating which Outlook Data File should be the default.

Clarify what you tried.
I doubt that you created a new Outlook profile from scratch that contains 2
PST files on first launch. If so, it is a first.

I renamed my Outlook.pst file and then restarted Outlook. It then could not
find the PST file when I started Outlook so it asked me where it is and I
let it create a new one. When the new one was created it showed up twice in
the folder listing.

Are you saying I need to delete the connection profiles as well and then
restart Outlook? Could that be what is corrupted as well?

Thanks for your help.

I'm saying the same thing I said in my first post.
It is your profile that is corrupted.
Not your PST file.
Create a new profile. Perhaps you do not understand what that means:
