Well there sure is a LOT of discussion about duplicate Contacts. After
struggling mightily I finally read that I am not supposed to "import' or
'export' .pst files.

WHat the hell !!
Why does microsoft provide a tool that I am not supposed to use?

That being said, now that I cannot import/export and instead copy the .pst
file and paste it into the new location, there remains a question--- How do I
combine two .pst files becuase that is what I am left with to solve what I
believe must be a very common problem.

Well, there may be a need to import from or export to a .PST file once in a
while, like when an Exchange mailbox is involved -- but generally, since .PST
is Outlook's native file format, it just makes sense to open it directly in
Outlook -- just as you'd open a .DOC file directly in Word instead of
importing from it.

That said, can you explain a little bit more about what you did and how your
data is arranged now? Did you first import from a .PST file and then open
the same .PST file in Outlook, or what? Also, just in case it will help,
what Outlook version are you using?
