Stupid question, but just what is the Folder name of the Windows XP
Home OS? I have always just looked for it under C:\Windows (of all
things) but it ain't there. And I can't do a Search and find the
Address Book under *.wab. Where does this thing hang out anyway?

Thanks.

I think you've answered the first part of your question - just what file is
it you expect to see as the "OS"? Lots of the good stuff is in the System32
subdirectory in Windows.

As to address book(s), look in C:\Documents and
Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book

In Explorer I do not find a Windows folder under the C drive. Could
it be "hidden"? Nor do I find a .wab file where the Address Book
would be located.

Thanks,
