So a while back I was trying to correct an error on one of our office
computers, and once I was halfway through trying to correct the current
installation of Windows 2000 Professional I realized that it wasn't just
correcting, it was wholly reinstalling. We have a lot of our programs
personalized to the office, so I freaked out and hit cancel immediately.
However, from that day forward, the computer has offered two options whenever
it boots--Windows 2000 Professional, or Windows 2000 Professional Setup. The
setup option is the default, and won't do anything except say how it's
missing files, even after having repaired the current, working OS and also
trying to do a repair of the whole computer's OS's, using the boot disk.
???? Help! I don't know what to do with it at this point, besides the
destructive options which won't actually help anything except making me feel
better.
