I just completed a reformat. I first installed win 2000 pro to my system. I then installed Win xp pro to my system. I didn't choose upgrade. It (xp) installed with no problems at the time, I do have errors and shut downs happening often. I need to have win 2000 as it has dos and want some of the features that xp has. When I installed xp it seems to have overwritten 2000 but still included the dos feature which is great as I can use an old data base that is written in dos. I was wondering if there is a way to keep system as is and correct errors or conflicts or if I need to reinstall 2000 upgrade to xp (not sure if this will get rid of dos) or if I need to partition hd and install 2000 on one and xp on the other.

Any help would be appreciated thanks In advance.

Two partitions: Win2K on one XP on the other.
