Dual Monitors

I just purchased a new computer and I wanted to run two monitiors. The base
image boots up on both but I cannot figure out how to get one program, such
as excel, to run on one monitor white I am work on another in the main
monitor. Any suggestions.
 
Click the desktop, press F1, type in Multiple Monitors, press enter,
click the link, follow the instructions.
 
Does the new computer have a dual monitor video card or two video cards?
