Dual monitor

I have a Dell Latitude C640 and want to use dual display.
In addition to the Latitude C640 LCD screen, I am using an
external Dell M782 monitor.

KB 283674 says to go to desktop properties, settings tab,
select the Display Monitor, and then select the Extend my
Windows desktop onto the monitor option.

This option does not exist for me. Does anyone have any
advice on how to get dual monitors for my system?

You may need to check with dell and see if a driver update
is available for your computer's video chipset. This is
definitely a hardware issue, as cheaper systems may not
have chipsets that have dual monitor capability.
