Dual Modems - Sychronized?

Where I live i am unable to get broadband because the national service
provider doesnt have the equipment close enough to my house or something... I
have got 2 telephone lines rented, i was wondering if i pluged 2 modems into
my computer, then oneline into each modem, can u somehow bridge it and get
one logical bundled line or something?

Ive heard something about this, aparently ur ISP needs to support multiple
modems or something, mine says theyve never herd of it - but i can log in
with the same ID to different computers at the same time so i guess it would
be alright right?
Any advice or feedback on this matter much appriciated.
Thanks
Ice

Wrong
I do not know of any way to have it work without your isp support.
Have you considered satellite?

Many areas of the country now have Wireless Broadband. I have
several customers who use Verizon. Basically, it's a service for
notebooks - but I believe it's also available for home users. If you
have tower coverage it may be an option. Satellite is fine, but has
some throughput issues and is still a premium priced service.(~$100)
Seems like the last time I checked Verizon Wireless Broadband
it was priced around ~$50+ range monthly.

Thanks for replys both of you - ive looked at wireless the setup fee for the
technician - satelite - and configuration works out to be near 1500. And then
a monthly fee of 100 which is just over the top really...

Ill pull another comp apart and steal the modem and jst freaken try it lol
easiest way to find out. Ill let u all know how i get on
Thanks for feedback McCarty and Ron.

If your ISP does not support dual-modem setups - you will have no success.
Services like HughesNET work - albeit dependent on weather and location
somewhat - better than dial up.
about $600 setup/$59.99 and up per month.

shenan didnt quite understand ur reply? can u send some more info on
hughsnet, and albeit?
Thanks for feedback anyway

"albeit" is an english word..
Not a company that I know of.

You are trying to get a faster Internet connection.
You are trying to utilize multilink to synchronize two modems and I pointed
out the fact that if your ISP doesn't support it, it won't work.

HOW TO: Set Up Multiple-Device (Multilink) Dialing in Windows XP

I then suggested hughesnet. You could easily visit hughesnet.com to get
more information on their products.
