Hi Group, I put on a fresh copy of XP. I chose the option of deleting all
the old files and do a clean install.I ended up with a choices of 2 XP's to
boot into. So now, when I get my coffee and come back ready to work, I'm
looking at these choices instead of my desktop. I think I remember reading
on this group how to delete one of the choices and boot straight to desktop.
Any help would be appreciated.

You can edit the c:\boot.ini file and delete the proper one of the lines IF
you know for sure which one is the old one and which is the new. If you
don't know for sure which one it is then you shouldn't delete it. You can
however go into start > run > msconfig > boot.ini tab > and change the
timeout to 1 to 3 seconds instead of 30 and it will not take long for it to
auto boot. Whichever route you take I wish you luck.

Thanks Joe. I do know that when I'm looking at the 2 choices it is the top
one that is correct. It won't boot from the bottom one. Does this mean that
the second occurence in the c:\boot.ini file is the one to delete?
