been running xp on c drive.
installed new internal hard drive d: and loaded 2k pro.
cant get system to boot into xp now. when i choose it i
get a problem loading 2k and it says to check
WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEMd and to reinsert 2k system
disk.
if i tell it to start in 2k it does so with no problem
except that it wants to format anything i put into the cd
rom drive. which means i can not run either xp or 2k disk
again.

any suggestions to have both bootable and or to fix cd
issue.

tanks in advance

Installing Win2K _after_ WinXP replaces WinXP's system files
(BOOT.INI, NTLDR, & NTDETECT.COM) with Win2K's older versions, which
cannot recognize the newer WinXP as a valid OS.
