dual boot problem

I have a machine windows 2000 that comes up with windows 2000 boot and
windows 2000 install boot with windows 2000 boot as the default.

I have looked for boot.ini but cannot find the file (yes I set the
computer to show all files)

Where else can I look????

You have to look harder. The file is c:\boot.ini, and it is hidden.
