I have inadvertantly created a Dual Boot Menu,
whilst "tinkering" with my PC. When booting up my PC, I
have to make a choice between Windows XP Home Edition,
and Windows XP Professional.

I have XP Home installed on my PC, I do not have or want
XP Professional.

Problem started when looking at a rescue disc containing
Professional.

Can anyone please help.

Hi Peter,

Start/run C:\boot.ini

Remove the line referencing WinXP Pro from the [operating systems] section.

Within WinXP:
1) Start>Run and type msconfig then click OK.
2) Select the Boot.ini tab
3) Select "Check all boot paths"
4) An option to delete invalid paths. Select Yes.

Hope this helps!
