Laura

I am experiencing an issue my DSL provider cannot solve.
Each time I log off the Internet, and then try to log
back on, I receive an error 734 message. Then I go to
control panel and delete the old connection and set up a
new one. What is odd, is that it shows 2 previous
connections. One is listed as SBC and one as SBC_Old. I
delete both and start over --each time I have to log
online. This just started occuring a week ago after no
problems. I have upgraded to Windows XP from ME, but that
was over six months ago. I have run virus checks, but
cannot find anything.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

Have you done any research on this error message on the
web?

I see a few places you could check:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?
scid=http://support.microsoft.com:80/support/kb/articles/q
310/4/31.asp&NoWebContent=1

or

http://www.jsifaq.com/subk/tip5200/rh5242.htm

or

http://www.modemsite.com/56k/duns734.asp

Try these and let us know if they worked. No sense
spending too much time on this until you've tried to
implement known solutions.

Thanks, Jack
