dropdownlist two columns

Hi,

I want a dropdown list that refers to two (hidden) columns. Column
being an ID-number, column B being the description.

Eventually I need the ID-number in the cell with the dropdownlist, bu
the user needs the description to decide.

Via Data-Validation I can only refer to one column.
or not?
