When I try to dropdown the font to select another font in Word it's very
slow and takes awhile before it drops down, I have repaired and reinstall
Office 2003 and it still seems to be the same as before, any idea's on how
to fix this?

Thanks

.
Usually, the slow response relates to large quantities of
fonts installed on the system. Un-install those that you
don't intend to use. You can always re-install if you
change your mind.

This could be a symptom of a damaged printer driver or Word's search for a
network printer.

Delete them from the Fonts folder.

oh, that easy thanks, also how would I know which one would be slowing down
the dropdown list? I don't want to delete fonts needed by Windows, I have a
few adobe and corel products intstalled.

I'll check the network printer drivers out also when I get back to work.

Thanks, these documents mention Word 97 and Windows 95/98. I am using Word
2003 and Windows XP

These documents apply to all versions of Word and Windows, with the
exception that more recent versions of Windows do not place the same
limitation on the number of fonts that can be installed.
