Drop down menu?

I'm currently using excel 2000 but I hear that they are
going to upgrade to excel xp. I'm currently making a
tracking form and would like to do is have some the user
be able to choose one option from a drop down built into a
cell. Now i guess this a two part question, one can I do
this in exl 2000 if not can it be done in exl xp. If it
can be done, how do i go about it.

Data Validation has been in Excel since Excel97, if not earlier.
