Hi there

I want to use drop down lists so I don’t have to enter data into field
time and time again.

I have tried validation but cannot implement it correctly because
cannot have a pre arranged list to choose from.

Can you help?

Yes you can, choose the List option and set it to the range, e.g. =A1:A10

Hi mate

1.
The list should be a pre-arranged, i.e. so the values are always there
to be selected

2.
Unlike the validation approach, which creates a list that relies on the
existing entries in the column, which is not what i want.

Is there a way to do number 1?

Thanks

I am sure there is but I don't understand what you are saying.

Autocomplete relies on adjacent values in that column.

Data|Validation can use a list (on another worksheet) that could have whatever
you wanted in it.
