I notice that when I start typing an address or name in the To: field of
Outlook 2003 that it has a small list of email names that I once used. I'd
like to erase the names in that drop down list. How can I do that?

Thanks

Hi Pearl,

I'm instructing using Outlook 2007, but it should work in older versions.

Let's say a whole bunch of names show up when you type 'p'. Here's what you
do.

1. Type 'p'
2. Press the down arrow until the address you want to delete is highlighted.
3. Click delete.

That address should not show up again.

You can also go to Tools | Options | Preferences | E-Mail Options | Advanced
E-Mail Options and uncheck "Suggest names while completing To, Cc, and Bcc
fields" to get rid of this functionality entirely.
