Driver Issue after ghosting

Hi,

I have a bunch of new lenovo desktop machines and after ghosting I can't get
a USB key to work. Basically what happens is when you insert the key it pops
up and says it found new hardware, and to install a driver for it. The
wizard goes through and can't find a driver. The issue is bigger than just
USB keys, as it can't find a driver for anything that I install. ie. I
installed a regular IDE hard drive and it does the same thing. After going
into device manager I tried to uninstall a device and then rescan for new
hardware. It finds the device that i just deleted, but can't install a
driver for it. Another thing I have found is that, after going into safe
mode, all of my driver problems are gone. I can use USB keys, install and
uninstall devices without problems. After using a USB key in safe mode it
will work in regular mode just fine, but only that particular key, if a
different key is used, then it will prompt for drivers again. Any help would
be appreciated.

Check your system drive letter. Is it still C: or has it perhaps changed to
E: or F:?

The drive letter is C for the hard drive. USB keys don't need drivers as
they are already in XP. The problem is that any new device pops up the new
hardware wizard, and request a driver. If you point it to any location it
says it can't find a driver. If you do the same thing in safe mode it works
fine.
